GoAntiques Inc. was founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1999 by Ken Buhler. With 18 years experience in the antiques industry, it became apparent to Ken that the Internet would play an important role in the future of selling antiques. GoAntiques soon developed the concept of a virtual warehouse where antiques dealers from around the world could list their inventories and expose them to consumers and other dealers for purchase. Needing funding to execute its business plan, the Company signed on with Stanford Financial Group to serve as its placement agent.

In August of 1999 the first round of financing was completed and in October of 1999 the Company launched its web site www.GoAntiques.com serving over 7000 consumers in its first month of operation. In February of 2000 the Company began its Merger and Acquisition strategy by acquiring Antique Networking, Inc. Today the Company operates as the GoAntiques Network. Having recently signed deals with several major portals, the Company continues to execute its business plan. In July of 2001 the Company served over 800,000 unique visitors on its network of sites. Mr. Buhler serves as President and CEO of GoAntiques Inc.

Antique Networking Inc. was founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1994 by Kathy Kamnikar. While working at a law firm, Kathy would antique during her lunch hour, return to the office to do case research using Lexis Nexis, and one day the idea struck her - finding antiques via computer would make searching for specific items much easier. After reading articles in the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times that talked about the Internet, she began to realize the significance of selling antiques online. In 1995 Kathy launched one of the first web sites dedicated to selling antiques online, www.Antiqnet.com.

Through its grassroots efforts the Company raised money from a number of friends and set out to build what would become one of the most recognized names in the Online Antiques Industry. Under her leadership, the Company has not only managed to survive the tenuous dot-com economy but has developed the proprietary technology that is now used as the backbone of the GoAntiques Network's Channel Distribution system. In February of 2000, Antique Networking agreed to be acquired by GoAntiques. Ms. Kamnikar serves as Senior Vice President of Online Marketing for GoAntiques.

Buy Collectibles was founded in 1997 by Antique Networking. Realizing that antique malls needed a strong sales venue and young collectors needed a place to buy affordable collectibles, a site appropriately named www.BuyCollectibles.com was launched. The site still operates today and has become a destination for both young collectors and seasoned collectors looking for a place to buy anything from baseball cards to Barbies. In February of 2000, Buy Collectibles was acquired by GoAntiques as part of the Antique Networking acquisition. The Antiqnet/BuyCollectibles staff is now are part of the GoAntiques Team.
